Hello, my name is Joe Newton and I am the founder of Newtons Tech.

I started Newtons Tech to build websites and web apps for small businesses the same way I would build them for myself. It is just me. After more than ten years in IT operations management, I wanted to do the actual work again instead of managing it from a desk. So when you hire Newtons Tech, you are hiring me. I write the code, I run the hosting, and I answer the email.

I like building things that are useful and meant to last. No bloat, no surprise fees, no website that quietly stops working six months after launch. Aside from my family, my main passion is giving small businesses the kind of service that lets them focus on their actual business, not on why nobody can find them on Google or how to make their day to day run smoother.

Now for the personal side. Newtons Tech and I are both based in Knoxville, TN. Home is my wife Brittney, our 11-year-old son Hayden, and our 6-month-old daughter Layla. Brittney is an elementary school teacher and my best friend. Layla is insanely cute and laughs at just about everything. Hayden is kind and funny and currently obsessed with video games, the Jurassic Park franchise, and Godzilla. Not just the new movies either, all the way back to the originals from the 50s.

When I am not heads down on someone’s website or web app, you will usually find me at a local coffee shop reading or studying. I also love being outside with my family, so we are often at a downtown event, on a hike, chasing each other around a park, or sitting on the back deck enjoying the evening and complaining about the mosquitos.

That is the whole point of doing it this way: carefully, on my own time, and built to last.
